Carnations
of Hope
The Perfect Mother's Day Gift
Thank
you to all who volunteered or participated in
the
2008 Carnations of Hope Campaign.
Thanks
to you, this year was another sucessful year for the Atlantic
Division's Carnations Campaign raising approximately $140,000 for
research and services for people living with MS.
| The
carnation is a flowering plant that has been cultivated
for over 2000 years. It is well known for both its beauty
and long-lasting nature. Carnations were featured at
the very first Mother’s Day observance in 1908
and are Canada's oldest and most recognized symbol of
hope in the search for a cure for multiple sclerosis. |
|
| Each
year you can
celebrate the carnation’s dual meaning by
participating in the MS Society of Canada’s annual
Carnation Campaign. Declare yourself a Corporate
Leader or Independent Seller and collect orders
for delivery in time for Mother’s Day. We also
have campaign volunteer opportunities available. To learn
more, contact the Atlantic Division at 1-800-268-7582
or email info.atlantic@mssociety.ca . |
Seventy-five
per cent of people living with MS are women. Support
them by giving the perfect Mother’s Day gift, Carnations
of Hope.
